Acer Aspire 5750 Drivers For Windows Xp Sp2
My son has a Acer Aspire 5750 w/HD Graphics 3000. The internal GPU has minimum 128MB VRAM, which can be increased up to 1,7 GB RAM. How can I force the GPU to use more RAM than the minimum 128MB? Have 8GB RAM installed. The reason for this question is that many games laggs a lot when playing.

I know that this is not a computer meant for playing complicated games, but still I don't want to buy a new and better one. But I am here talking about quite simple games that this computer SHOULD manage easily based on its specs. The most important games with trouble right now are: - Minecraft - Farming Simulator 2013 On this Acer these games laggs a lot, even on lowest settings. My other son has an much older laptop (Compac) with much worse specs and was much cheaper. But still it plays theese games with no laggs what so ever. How com my Acer can not do this? Very dissapointing!
The only issue I see her, is that theese games requires 256 MB VRAM. And with the Acer and the HD Graphics 3000 (w/128MB - 1,7GB VRAM) NEVER tries to use more than maybe up to ~200MB, this is probably the reason for all the lagging. Is it somehow possible to dedicate 1GB of this RAM to the GPU, or somehow force the GPU to use more RAM? I tried to look in the BIOS, but absolutely everything in there is locked!!!
It runs on Windows 7, 64-bit. PLEASE help my desperate son. Yes, the games do run. At least on lowest settings. The game with the biggest problem is Farming Simulator 2013. Cwcheat Cheatpops Db Downloads.
The requirements are: CPU Speed: AMD/INTEL 2.0 GHZ (Have Intel core i5-2410M 2.3 GHz) RAM: 1024 MB (Have 8 GB) OS: WINDOWS XP SP3/WINDOWS VISTA SP2/WINDOWS 7 (Have W7-64-bit) Video Card: 256 MB OF VIDEO MEMORY ATI RADEON X1600/NVIDIA GEFORCE 7600/INTEL HD 2000 OR HIGHER (Have HD 3000) I can see the graphics memory in use in the graphics property, advanced mode, information page: This screenshot was while playing Farming Simulator 2013, and as you can see, the graphics memory currently in use shows 220MB. When I quit the game, this value drops down to about 60-80 MB. Nothing else is running on the computer, and we always have the power-cord connected, to ensure full performance. You can change the ram allocation for the hard drive although you are going to have to install a 3rd party bios i believe used insydeH2O if i recall correctly. I do not reccomend doing this if you are not tech savy, or have no experience playing around with the bios exc. Also allocating ram to the graphics card removes it from being used by your cpu, I did not notice much of an improvment by doing this so i wouldnt really reccomend it. What i would reccomend would be using a game optimizer program.
Unfortunatly the only way to really get better performance would be to bite the bullet and buy another pc or laptop. Unfortunatly the intigrated graphics acer 5750 is incapable of installing a new graphics card as far as i know. If you have found another way i would appreciate hearing about it.
